The GRU was the USSR's military intlelligence.The Gestapo (the Geheime Staatspolizei, or Secret State Police) was the non-uniformed part of the SS which was technically not part of the German Army or Whermatch. The Stasi (the Ministry for State Security) was a direct outgrowth of the Gestapo. It is very confusing when almost everyone, including the politicians are in uniform. It's just a question of semantics. I mean if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's probably Dick Chaney, but I digress. I wonder if Dick is any relation to Lon? Hmmmmmmm.
